This term Year 3 have had a great time at Forest School over at the Sustainability Centre. Here are some of our photos.  


Jude’s Ice-Cream Sale! 

Well done to Willow Class for selling all of their Choco-pop-planet ice -cream this afternoon! It was delicious!  They raised £207! Well done. 


Portchester Castle

Oak Class braved the weather on Monday to visit Portchester Castle!

P1010817We learnt about how the castle was built by the Romans and added to by lots of different people over the years.

P1010819P1010828We were shown around the castle by Lady Mary, who helped us dress up in costumes. Some people were royalty or guards, while the rest of us were peasants!

It was a very exciting day and we were really glad to visit a real castle.

Fire Service Visit Beech and Oak

Beech and Oak Class were visited by the fire service.


We were very excited to go in the fire engine.


Some of us even had a go at driving it!

We learnt all about fire safety and what to do if a fire starts at home or in school. Beech Class are learning about the Great Fire of London and they found out about the different ways that fires are dealt with now compared to in the past.


Red Nose Day! 

Thank you to everyone today for dressing in red and wearing your Red Nose. This is all of us in Celebration Assembly this morning. We raised £124!

Cool Capacity

In Willow class this week we have been using our measuring skills to explore our own capacity concoctions. The children measured out their ingredients to create their unique flavours.

Today Willow class had an amazing time sampling goodies at Jude’s ice cream and preparing for the challenge of a lifetime!

Bishop of Winchester’s Tea Party

We have just enjoyed a wonderful afternoon exploring Wolvsey House and devouring a delicious tea! This was a thank you from Bishop Tim for achieving 100% Level 4’s in our SAT’s in 2014.
